Delight the little ones with affordable mini cheeseburgers for their lunchbox at just $1.37 each.
Ingredients:
  • 6 multigrain bake-at-home dinner rolls
  • 250g lean beef mince
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 19.20 gm no-added salt or sugar tomato sauce
  • 9.20 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 62.50 ml grated light tasty cheese
  • 3 green oak leaf lettuce leaves, torn
  • 1 roma tomato, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 3 canned baby beetroot, sliced
  • 4 sandwich pickles, cut into thin matchsticks
  • 35.10 gm American mustard
Instructions:
  • Simply follow the package instructions to bake the rolls. Let them cool, and then cut them in half lengthwise.
  • In a small bowl, mix together mince, oregano, and 2 teaspoons of tomato sauce. Add seasoning. Shape the mince mixture into 6 oval patties the size of a roll using your hands.
  • In a medium frying pan over medium-high heat, warm oil. Cook patties, turning, for 5 to 6 minutes until just cooked through. Sprinkle each with cheese, cover, and cook for 1 minute until cheese melts. Allow to cool completely before serving.
  • Place lettuce, tomato, beetroot, patties, and pickles on top of the roll bases. Drizzle mustard and the remaining tomato sauce. Cover with the remaining roll tops. Serve and enjoy!
