French bread filled with spicy cream cheese dip, baked to bubbly perfection - a decadent appetizer also known as Mississippi Sin.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf French bread
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups chopped cooked ham
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup chopped green onions
  • 0.25 cup chopped green chile peppers
  • 2 small jalapeno peppers, chopped, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Carefully remove the top of the bread loaf in one piece and set it aside. Hollow out the loaf to make space for the filling, then chop the removed bread for dipping.
  • Combine Cheddar cheese, ham, sour cream, cream cheese, green onions, green chile peppers, and jalapeno peppers in a bowl. Fill the hollowed bread loaf with the mixture, cover with the top of the bread, and tightly wrap the loaf in aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the oven until the filling is cooked through and bubbling, approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
