Moist slow cooker roast beef with flavorful gravy made with onion soup mix, Worcestershire, and soy sauce - no veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (2 1/2 pound) boneless beef chuck roast
  • 1 pinch garlic salt, or to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 0.5 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Season the beef roast generously with garlic salt and black pepper before placing it at the bottom of a slow cooker.
  • Combine Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and red wine vinegar in a small bowl; drizzle over roast. Sprinkle onion soup mix over the top of the roast. Pour water into the slow cooker around the roast, being careful not to pour water directly over the top.
  • Cook on Low until the meat is tender and no longer pink in the center, for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Pour the flavorful sauce from the slow cooker into a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until it begins to bubble, then stir in cornstarch to create a rich and thick texture.
