Delicious pull-apart monkey bread made with fluffy, sweet dough, caramelized cinnamon sugar, and baked in a Bundt pan for a easy and irresistible dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, or as needed
  • 0.25 cup warm water
  • 2.5 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup milk, warmed
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Prepare a Bundt pan by lightly greasing it with vegetable oil; set aside.
  • Prepare Dough: In a spacious bowl, mix together warm water, yeast, and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Allow the mixture to sit until it becomes bubbly and foamy, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Combine 1 cup flour with warm milk, egg, 3 tablespoons sugar, butter, salt, and vanilla extract until mixed. Then, incorporate the remaining 2 1/2 cups flour until a dough forms. Knead until smooth, then cover with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  • Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface and gently press to deflate. Shape dough into small or medium balls.
  • Create coating by combining brown sugar and cinnamon in a petite bowl. Dunk each ball of dough in melted butter, lift them with a fork, and then coat them thoroughly in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Place the dough balls in the pan, cover with plastic wrap or a damp cloth, and let rise until nearly doubled in size, for approximately 45 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, approximately 35 minutes. Then, invert onto a large plate and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
