Create a decadent and romantic meal with tender beef filets topped with savory crabmeat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound fresh lump crabmeat
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 (8 ounce) filet mignon steaks
  • coarse sea salt and coarsely ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and coat the crabmeat with the butter. Let it sit until serving.
  • Dry filets mignons and season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Brown filets on both sides for about 3 minutes each. Transfer to greased baking pan and roast in preheated oven until medium-rare, about 10 minutes. Top with crabmeat and butter mixture before serving.
