Mulberry crumb cake with buttery topping, ready in just one hour.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups mulberries
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup white sugar, egg, oil, and milk. Mix well. Add 1 cup flour, baking powder, and salt; stir until smooth. Pour the batter into a baking pan and sprinkle with mulberries.
  • Combine 3/4 cup flour, brown sugar, and 1/4 cup white sugar in a bowl. Add butter and mix until crumbly, approximately 2 minutes. Sprinkle the mixture over the cake.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
