Easy mulberry pie: perfect for summer with a burst of fruity flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (14 ounce) package double-crust pie pastry, thawed
  • 3 cups mulberries
  • 1.25 cups white sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  • Place the bottom pie crust gently in a 9-inch pie plate.
  • Combine the berries with sugar and flour in a large bowl. Spoon the mixture into the bottom pie crust, then add small pieces of butter on top. Cover with the top pie crust, seal and crimp the edges, cut slits in the crust, and brush with milk. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before baking.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) while you get ready to cook.
  • Start by baking the pie in a preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then, lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and continue baking for an extra 30 minutes. Once done, remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack.
