Delicious untested member recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 750.00 ml mulberries
  • 281.25 gm white sugar
  • 62.50 ml plain flour
  • 2 sheets shortcrust pastry, thawed
  • 40.00 gm butter
  • 20.60 gm milk
Instructions:
  • Combine the berries with sugar and flour in a spacious bowl.
  • Line the bottom of a large pie dish with one sheet of pastry. Spread the mixture over the pastry, dot with butter, then top with another sheet of pastry. Seal the edges, make slits in the top crust, brush with milk, and chill the pie in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Bake pie in a preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 175C and bake for another 30 minutes. Allow pie to cool on a wire rack, then serve with fresh cream and ice cream.
