Impress with this sumptuous gourmet sorbet - a rich and complex delight in every bite!
Ingredients:
  • 315g (1 1/2 cups) caster sugar
  • 375ml (1 1/2 cups) water
  • 520g (4 cups) fresh mulberries, stalks removed
  • 40.00 ml creme de cassis (optional)
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, gently mix sugar and water over medium heat until sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Let it simmer for 3 minutes to slightly thicken. Stir in mulberries and liqueur, if preferred, then allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Blend mixture using a stick blender until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve into a jug, cover, and chill in the fridge overnight.
  • Pour the mulberry mixture into an ice-cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer's guidelines until it reaches your preferred texture.
