Mustardy Chicken and Dumplings

Elevate classic chicken and dumplings with a flavorful kick of tangy mustard.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/4 lb), cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
Instructions:
  • In a 4-quart Dutch oven over medium-high heat, sauté chicken and onion until chicken is cooked through and onion is tender, about 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Combine 1 1/2 cups of milk, mixed vegetables, soup, and mustard in the pot. Bring to a boil.
  • In a small bowl, mix Bisquick with the remaining 1/2 cup of milk until a soft dough forms. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto the chicken mixture. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 20 minutes.
