Foolproof recipe for 12 easy-to-peel hard-boiled eggs with fully cooked yolks, versatile for pickling, salads, snacking, and deviled eggs.
Ingredients:
  • water, as needed
  • 12 eggs, at room temperature
  • 12 cubes ice cubes
Instructions:
  • Fill a large pot with enough water to cover all the eggs and bring it to a gentle boil. Carefully use a slotted spoon to lower the eggs into the boiling water. Allow the water to return to a gentle boil.
  • Cook the eggs for 13 to 15 minutes to achieve your desired yolk consistency. Remove the pot from heat, drain the water, and keep the eggs in the pot. Quickly fill the pot with cold water and ice to cool the eggs rapidly.
  • Peel cooled eggs by gently cracking the shells on all sides without removing any shell. Place back in cold water and let sit for 15 minutes.
  • Peel and discard egg shells before serving.
