Bake a delicious blend of cinnamon-sugar coated biscuits, apples, and pecans for a buttery sweet dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, separated and cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 apple, peeled and chopped
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine white sugar and cinnamon in a large resealable bag. Add biscuits, seal the bag, and shake until biscuits are fully coated in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Layer half of the apples and half of the pecans in a circular pattern in an 8x8-inch pan. Top with half of the coated biscuits. Repeat with the remaining apples, pecans, and biscuits for a second layer.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, then stir in brown sugar and vanilla extract until fully combined. Pour this delicious buttery mixture over the biscuit mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes until biscuits are golden and cooked through. Allow fritters to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before serving.
