Decadent dark chocolate brownies filled with luscious Nutella, chilled for ultimate gooeyness.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (13 ounce) jars chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
  • cooking spray
  • 1.5 cups unsalted butter
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (such as Ghirardelli® 60% Cacao)
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spoon tablespoon-sized dollops of chocolate-hazelnut spread onto the parchment paper. Freeze for 2 to 3 hours until completely solid.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly coat an 8-inch-square baking pan with cooking spray.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and chocolate chips together, stirring continuously until smooth and completely melted, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • 1. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a bowl and allow it to cool for 5 minutes. Incorporate sugar until dissolved. Gradually incorporate the eggs one at a time, ensuring thorough mixing after each addition. Mix in the cream, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Slowly add the flour by spoonfuls, making sure to mix thoroughly after each addition. Finally, spread half of the batter into the baking pan, arrange frozen chocolate-hazelnut mounds on top, and cover with the remaining batter.
  • Bake until the top is dry and edges are slightly pulling away from the sides, about 30 to 40 minutes. Use a spatula to release the sides, then cool the pan completely on a rack or countertop for at least 30 minutes. Refrigerate until set for about 2 hours, then cut into squares and enjoy.
