Delicious sautéed okra and tomatoes with onion, green pepper, celery, and crispy bacon.
Ingredients:
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1 pound frozen okra, thawed and sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 0.5 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 celery, chopped
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
Instructions:
  • In a large, deep skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until it is evenly browned and crispy. Drain the bacon and crumble it onto a plate, setting it aside.
  • Sauté okra, onion, pepper, and celery until tender. Then add tomatoes, salt, and pepper; cook until tomatoes are heated through, stirring occasionally.
  • Top with crispy crumbled bacon for an irresistible finishing touch.
