Indulgent corn syrup fudge recipe; no nuts or creams. Requires a candy thermometer for perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cocoa powder, sugar, and salt. Stir in corn syrup and milk until smooth. Add butter and cook until mixture reaches 235-240 degrees F, or until a small amount dropped into cold water forms a soft ball that flattens when placed on a surface. Stir occasionally.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and vigorously beat it with a wooden spoon until it thickens and becomes matte. Mix in the vanilla, then transfer the mixture into a buttered 9x9-inch baking dish. Allow it to cool until firm. Cut into small squares before serving.
