Creamy one-pan orzo, a quick and easy risotto alternative.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced, or more to taste
  • 3/4 cup orzo pasta
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • In a heavy skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add orzo and toast for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring. Then, mix in garlic and reduce heat to medium-low.
  • Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring often. Cook until the broth is fully absorbed, approximately 8 minutes.
  • After the broth is absorbed, blend in the cream and incorporate the cheese until it melts into a luxuriously creamy sauce.
