Create a deliciously unique cake by swirling strawberry pie filling into pineapple cake mix. Customize with various cake and pie filling combinations for endless possibilities.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package pineapple flavored cake mix
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 (21 ounce) can strawberry pie filling
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • Spread a mixture of cake mix, oil, eggs, and water in a pan. Break up any large lumps in the batter. Drop pie filling in strips evenly spaced over the batter, avoiding the edges. Gently swirl the batter over the pie filling to create a pattern. Spread evenly in the pan.
  • Place in the oven that has been preheated and bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake's center comes out clean. Let it cool.
  • Prepare the topping by combining crushed pineapple and instant pudding, refrigerate until thickened. Gently fold in whipped topping and spread over the cooled cake. Chill until serving.
