Ingredients:
  • 30g butter
  • 2 medium red onions, thinly sliced
  • 20.00 ml plain flour
  • 255.00 gm beef stock
Instructions:
  • In a frying pan over gentle heat, melt butter. Stir in onion and garlic. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until onion begins to caramelize.
  • Sprinkle in the flour and cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes. Slowly pour in the stock. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 10 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Season with pepper to taste.
