Delicious slow-cooked tangy beets for an effortless and saucy meal ready when you arrive home!
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds beets, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices (3 cups)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
Instructions:
  • Combine all the ingredients, excluding the cornstarch and water, in a 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker.
  • Slow cook on low heat for 11 to 12 hours until the beets are tender.
  • Combine the cornstarch and water and stir into the beets. Cook uncovered over high heat for 5 to 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
