Succulent homemade Italian beef: slow-cook chuck roast with dry salad dressing mix and tangy pepperoncini for a flavorful family meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 3 (1 ounce) packages dry Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar pepperoncini peppers
  • 8 hamburger buns, split
Instructions:
  • Add the roast to the slow cooker and generously massage the dressing mix over it. Pour water all around the roast. Cover and let it cook on High until the meat is tender and effortlessly falls apart with a fork, which will take about 5 to 6 hours.
  • Shred meat using two forks, then mix it back into the slow cooker along with pepperoncini and as much pepperoncini juice as desired. Cover and cook for an additional hour.
  • Place the delicious mixture on top of fluffy buns.
