Roasted Brussels sprouts with garlic and balsamic vinegar for a caramelized finish in a cast iron skillet.
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 400°F (200°C).
  • Heat oil in a cast iron skillet until it shimmers. Place Brussels sprouts, cut-sides down, into the hot oil. Sprinkle with garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until Brussels sprouts start to brown, for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Place the skillet in the preheated oven and roast the Brussels sprouts until they are golden brown and tender, for 10 to 20 minutes. Remember to shake the skillet every 5 minutes for even browning.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper, incorporate balsamic vinegar, and serve promptly.
