Spicy blackened red snapper, pan-fried with a homemade seasoning, perfect for any white fish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper, or more to taste
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 4 (4 ounce) fillets red snapper, patted dry
Instructions:
  • Combine paprika, salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, lemon pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl, creating a flavorful spice mixture.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter with olive oil for about 1 minute until butter is completely melted. Stir well to blend the two together.
  • Coat each red snapper fillet with the olive oil and butter mixture, then generously sprinkle the paprika mixture over both sides of the fillets.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, sizzle the oil and butter mixture. Cook the red snapper until the flesh flakes easily with a fork, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.
