Whip up tasty pan-seared tilapia in just 15 minutes with this easy and flavorful recipe your family will love.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (4 ounce) tilapia fillets
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Begin by giving the tilapia fillets a refreshing rinse in cold water, then gently dry them off with paper towels. Proceed to elegantly season each side of the fillets with a touch of salt and pepper.
  • Coat each fillet by delicately pressing it into the flour in a shallow dish, ensuring to shake off any excess.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook tilapia fillets in batches, if needed, until the fish easily flakes with a fork, about 4 minutes per side.
  • Just before removing the tilapia fillets from the skillet, generously coat them with luscious melted butter.
  • Finish off by generously squeezing fresh lemon juice over the fillets and elegantly sprinkle with a mix of fresh parsley and fragrant thyme.
