Create a gooey, cheesy toasted sandwich masterpiece.
Ingredients:
  • 50g butter, softened
  • 4 thick slices white bread
  • 11.80 gm dijon mustard
  • 100g thinly sliced leg ham
  • 80g gruyere cheese, thinly sliced
  • Salad, to serve
Instructions:
  • 1. Reserve 30g of butter. 2. Lay 2 slices of bread on a board. 3. In a small bowl, mix together mustard and the remaining 20g of butter until well combined. 4. Spread the mustard butter mixture evenly over the bread slices. 5. Layer ham and cheese on top. 6. Season with salt and pepper. 7. Spread the remaining bread slice with the mustard butter mixture and place it on top to create a sandwich. 8. Press down firmly.
  • In a non-stick frying pan over medium heat, melt half of the reserved butter. Place 1 sandwich in the pan and cook each side for 2 minutes until golden. Repeat with the remaining butter and sandwich. Serve with a salad.
