Garlic-Parmesan buttered dinner rolls.
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)
  • 1 package regular active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ unbleached flour
  • 3/4 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Cooking spray
  • 5 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt
  • 4 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, whisk together warm water and yeast until foamy, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Combine flours, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Create a well in the center of the mixture and pour in 1 tablespoon of oil and the yeast mixture. Gently stir until just combined.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic, adding extra flour if needed. Form the dough into a ball and place it in a large bowl. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the dough, making sure to coat it entirely. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow the dough to rise in a warm spot for approximately 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  • Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Gently press your fist into the dough to release any air pockets. Divide the dough in half and shape each portion into a 5-inch square that is about 1/2 inch thick. Cut each square into 5 (1-inch) strips. Lightly dust the strips with flour and tie each one into a knot. Arrange the knots about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Lightly coat the rolls with cooking spray. Loosely cover them with plastic wrap and allow them to rise for about 30 minutes until slightly puffy.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake uncovered rolls on a cookie sheet for 15 minutes until golden brown. Transfer the rolls to a cooling rack lined with cooking parchment or waxed paper. Allow to cool slightly.
  • In a small saucepan, gently melt butter over medium-low heat. Sauté garlic in the butter for 1 to 2 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally. Add parsley, then take the saucepan off the heat. Brush the flavorful butter-garlic mixture over the rolls and generously sprinkle with cheese before serving warm.
