Delightful Passover treat: dust meringues with powdered sugar, top with fresh strawberries for a beautiful touch.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 egg whites
  • 0.25 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a cozy 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a small bowl, gently sift together 1/4 cup of sugar, cocoa, and salt for a fabulous start to your recipe.
  • Beat egg whites with an electric mixer in a large bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually mix in 1/4 cup of sugar until medium-firm peaks form. Slowly add cocoa mixture and beat until egg whites are stiff. Fold in chocolate chips. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets, spacing about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake in a hot oven for 40 minutes until cookies are crispy. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets.
