Impress with a patriotic berry trifle - customize with homemade whipped cream, various berries, or pound cake for a festive touch!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix (such as Jell-O®)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (such as Cool Whip®), thawed
  • 1 (13 ounce) package angel food cake, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 0.5 cup fresh raspberries
Instructions:
  • Whisk the instant pudding mix with cold milk until it thickens, then chill in the fridge for about 1 hour until set.
  • Spread half of the diced angel food cake in the bottom of a trifle bowl. Save some blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries for garnish. Layer half of the remaining berries over the cake, then top with the pudding.
  • Place the final cake layer on top, sprinkle with remaining berries, excluding those set aside for garnish. Spread the frozen whipped topping delicately to ensure a sleek finish. Lastly, use the reserved berries to artistically decorate the trifle to your liking.
  • Enjoy right away, or chill until serving time (avoid making too early to prevent the cake from losing its texture over time).
