Peach Crumble Pie

Easy peach crumble pie with fresh peaches, sweet buttery topping. Ideal for summer family gatherings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 inch) pie crust pastry
  • 9 fresh peaches, peeled and halved
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C), then lovingly press the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan.
  • Using your hands, blend together the sugar, flour, butter, and salt until the mixture resembles pea-sized crumbs. Sprinkle 1/3 of the mixture over the pie crust.
  • Arrange peach halves, cut-side down, on top of crumb mixture. Fill any gaps with sections from the remaining peach halves. Sprinkle remaining crumble over the top and finish with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then lower the heat to 400°F (200°C) and bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes longer.
