Impress your family this Christmas with adorable peanut butter reindeer cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 96 small round pretzel twists
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips (96 chips)
  • 1 tablespoon candies (48 candies)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (350°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheets). In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together peanut butter, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg, then stir in the flour and baking powder.
  • Shape each 1-inch cookie dough ball into a 1 1/2-inch long triangle. Place 2 pretzel twists about 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet to resemble antlers; gently press the top of the dough triangle into the pretzels. Repeat with the rest of the dough and pretzels.
  • Bake for 5 to 10 minutes until edges start to brown. Quickly add 2 chocolate chips for eyes and 1 cinnamon candy for the nose on each cookie. Allow to rest for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Let cool completely for about 30 minutes.
