Pear, chocolate and hazelnut tarts

Decadent chocolate hazelnut spread baked on puff pastry with canned pears for a simple and delicious dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet Brand Puff Pastry, just thawed
  • 40.00 ml chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 410g can Brand Pear Slices in Juice, drained, thinly sliced
  • 17.20 gm demerara sugar
  • 20.00 ml hazelnuts, coarsely chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 220C (200C fan forced) and prepare a large baking tray by lining it with baking paper.
  • Cut the pastry into four squares, place them on the tray, spread each with chocolate hazelnut spread, leaving a 2cm border. Top with pear slices, sprinkle sugar and hazelnuts, then fold pastry edges to form a border.
  • Bake the tarts until the pastry is puffed and golden, about 10-12 minutes.
