Delicious pear custard pie recipe from a friend. Perfect for using up fresh pears or store bought.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 3 pears - peeled, cored and sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine eggs, flour, sugar, almond extract, and melted butter in a large bowl. Spread the mixture into an unbaked pie crust. Arrange sliced pears in spokes from the center.
  • Preheat the oven and bake for 15 minutes; then lower the temperature and continue baking for 25 to 35 minutes until the custard is set. Allow it to cool completely before serving.
