Pear-Apple-Granola Crisp

Indulge in a scrumptious apple and pear crisp, enhanced with a delightful Cascadian Farm® organic fruit & nut granola topping - the ultimate fruity dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 2 lb Bosc pears, peeled, coarsely chopped (4 cups)
  • 2 lb Pink Lady apples or other firm apples, peeled, coarsely chopped (4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup chopped pitted dates
  • 4 oz chèvre (goat) cheese, crumbled (1 cup)
  • 2 cups Cascadian Farm® organic fruit & nut granola
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 3 tablespoons honey
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and generously spray a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine the pears, apples, sugar, flour, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Gently mix in the dates and cheese. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. In the same bowl, blend the granola and butter together, then sprinkle over the fruit mixture. Finish by drizzling with honey.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Cover with foil after 20 minutes to prevent excessive browning. Serve warm.
