Irresistible crescent cookies made with buttery flour and cottage cheese dough, filled with a sweet pecan mixture.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Place flour in a medium bowl. Use a pastry blender or 2 table knives to cut in 1 cup of butter until crumbly. Mix in cottage cheese until well blended. Divide the dough into thirds and wrap each third in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 hours before using.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll part of the dough into a 10-inch round on a floured surface (dough will be sticky). Brush with melted butter, sprinkle one-third of the brown sugar and pecans, then gently press into dough with a rolling pin. Repeat with remaining dough, butter, brown sugar, and pecans.
  • Cut each round into quarters, then slice each quarter into 4 wedges. Roll up from the long end and place, point side down, on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from the cookie sheets right away and cool completely on the cooling racks.
