Pecan Noodle Kugel

Irresistible hot noodle kugel topped with crunchy, sweet brown sugar and pecans, perfect as a dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package broad egg noodles
  • 0.25 cup melted butter, divided
  • 1 cup brown sugar, divided
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Fill a large pot with salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Add egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 5 minutes. Drain in a colander.
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix eggs with half of the melted butter, half of the brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Add noodles and coat evenly. Spread the remaining butter in a deep baking dish. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar in the dish and around the sides. Top with pecans. Pour noodle mixture over the sugar in the dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes until firm. Gently loosen the kugel by running a paring knife between it and the edge of the dish. Turn the pan on its side, tap it against the counter, and then invert it onto a plate to release the kugel.
