Indulgent waffles with pecans and chocolate chips for a crowd-pleasing breakfast feast.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 2/3 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups maple-flavored syrup
  • Additional coarsely chopped pecans and miniature semisweet chocolate chips, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the waffle maker. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, pecans, and chocolate chips in a large bowl. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, butter, milk, and vanilla. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  • Using a spoon, portion batter onto waffle maker according to manufacturer’s instructions. Close the lid and bake until waffles are deep golden brown and steaming stops. Serve the waffles with syrup, and sprinkle extra pecans and chocolate chips on top.
