Elevate your steak and veggies with a rich and flavorful classic pepper sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 60g butter, chopped
  • 2 eschalots, finely chopped
  • 61.88 gm red wine
  • 510.00 gm beef stock
  • 2 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
  • Melt half of the butter in a medium frying pan over medium heat until it starts to foam. Add the eschalot and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes until softened. Pour in the red wine and bring to a boil. Lower the heat to medium and cook the sauce for 2 to 3 minutes until it reduces almost completely.
  • Pour in the flavorful stock and a pinch of freshly ground pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil and then lower the heat to a cozy medium-low setting. Let it simmer, giving it a stir now and then, for 10 to 12 minutes, until it has reduced by half and has a delightful slightly thickened consistency. Whisk in the rest of the butter until it melts seamlessly into the sauce, helping it thicken a bit more. This scrumptious sauce is now ready to be drizzled over a perfectly cooked steak. Enjoy!
