Decadent peppermint patty brownies.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups margarine
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 24 small peppermint patties
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine margarine, sugar, and vanilla, mixing well. Beat in the eggs until thoroughly blended. Stir in the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt until a smooth mixture forms. Reserve 2 cups of the batter for later use.
  • Evenly spread the remaining batter in the pan. Place the peppermint patties in a single layer, spaced about 1/2 inch apart. Top with the reserved 2 cups of batter.
  • Bake the brownies until they start to pull away from the sides of the pan, which should take around 50 to 55 minutes. Allow them to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting them into 24 brownies.
