Indulge in a tasty Philly cheesesteak filled with tender steak, caramelized onions, and gooey melted cheese on a soft roll for the ultimate sandwich experience.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into thin 2 inch strips
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, julienned
  • 3 ounces Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
Instructions:
  • Combine the salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, marjoram, and basil in a small bowl.
  • In a large bowl, generously season the steak with the mixture and toss until fully coated.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, sizzle steak in half of the oil until perfectly cooked. Plate the juicy steak once done.
  • Heat up the rest of the oil in the skillet, then add the onion and green pepper. Cook and stir until they are tender and caramelized.
  • Preheat the oven using the broiler setting.
  • Spread the cooked beef evenly on the bottom halves of 4 rolls. Top with onion, green pepper, and sliced cheese before placing them on a cookie sheet.
  • Broil until the cheese is gooey and bubbly.
  • Serve by placing the tops of the rolls on them.
