Make festive brie and cranberry bites in your pie maker for a delicious party treat. Perfect for holiday gatherings!
Ingredients:
  • 146.25 gm jellied cranberry sauce
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 5 sheets frozen puff pastry, partially thawed
  • 125g brie, cut into 1cm cubes (see note)
  • 18.40 gm finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • Extra cranberry sauce, to serve
  • Fresh thyme sprigs, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix together the cranberry sauce, thyme, and garlic. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • 1. Cut pastry into 24 rounds measuring 9cm each. Place 1 teaspoon of cranberry mixture in the center of 12 pastry rounds. Add 4 pieces of brie on top and sprinkle with walnuts. Cover with remaining pastry rounds, seal by pinching and folding the edges, and brush the tops with egg. Finally, season with salt and pepper.
  • Preheat your pie maker. Place 4 rounds in the holes and close the lid. Cook for 10 minutes or until golden and puffed. Transfer to a plate, and repeat with the remaining rounds. Serve with cranberry sauce and sprinkle with thyme sprigs.
