Recreate Monica's iconic leftover turkey sandwich in a Kmart pie maker with roast chicken, gravy, and bread for a delicious twist!
Ingredients:
  • 12 slices bread
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) instant or leftover gravy
  • 120g barbecued chicken, thinly sliced
  • 35.10 gm wholegrain mustard or cranberry sauce
Instructions:
  • Heat up your pie maker. Cut a disc from each slice of bread using a pie maker cutter or a 9.5cm pastry cutter.
  • Combine the eggs and 1 1/2 tablespoons of gravy in a bowl, then whisk with a fork until mixed. Season to taste.
  • Take a bread disc and skillfully coat one side with the indulgent egg mixture, allowing any extra mixture to gracefully drip back into the bowl. Then elegantly place the egg-coated side facing down into a slot of the pie maker. Repeat this process with three more discs, ensuring each one is dipped into the velvety egg mixture to fill every slot in the pie maker.
  • Stuff each bread case with chicken, 2 teaspoons of the leftover gravy, and 1 teaspoon of mustard or cranberry sauce. Dip the remaining bread slices into the egg mixture and place them on top, egg side up, to cover each pie. Close the lid and cook for 7-8 minutes until golden. Repeat the process to make 2 more pies using the remaining ingredients.
