Hop on the pie maker craze with these delicious and simple Pizza Pockets!
Ingredients:
  • 2 x 250g packets fresh pizza dough
  • 40.00 ml pizza sauce
  • 50g sliced Danish salami, finely chopped
  • 125.00 ml grated mozzarella
  • 50g button mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1/2 green capsicum, finely chopped
  • 36.40 gm extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
Instructions:
  • Follow the packet instructions to prepare the pizza dough. Mix pizza sauce, salami, mozzarella, mushrooms, and capsicum together in a large bowl.
  • - Preheat your pie maker. - Divide the dough into 12 portions. - Roll out one portion of dough on a lightly floured surface into a 6cm x 10cm oval. - Spread 1½ tablespoons of salami mixture onto one half of the oval. - Fold the dough over to seal the filling inside. - Pinch the edges together to seal. - Roll and pinch the edges to create a decorative border. - Repeat the process with three more portions of dough and salami mixture to make a total of 4 pies.
  • 1. Place the pies into the pie maker and close the lid. Cook for 8 minutes or until golden and puffed. 2. While the pies are cooking, mix oil and rosemary in a small bowl. 3. Transfer the cooked pies to a wire rack and brush them with the oil mixture. 4. Repeat the process with the remaining dough, salami mixture, and oil mixture to make a total of 12 pies. 5. Serve the pies hot or at room temperature.
