Indulge in a decadent red velvet doughnut filled with a surprise white chocolate Lindt ball.
Ingredients:
  • 150g (1 cup) self-raising flour
  • 10.00 gm cocoa powder
  • 0.63 gm bicarbonate of soda
  • 70g (1/3 cup) caster sugar
  • 100g butter, melted, cooled
  • 130g (1/2 cup) sour cream
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Red gel food colouring
  • 10 white chocolate balls
  • Flaked coconut, to decorate
  • 100g cream cheese, softened
  • 230g (1 1/2 cups) icing sugar mixture
  • 20.60 gm milk
Instructions:
  • Sift flour, cocoa, and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl, then stir in sugar. Create a well and add butter, sour cream, and eggs. Whisk until fully combined. Mix in just enough food coloring to turn the batter a vibrant red.
  • Preheat your pie maker until hot. Spoon 1 1/2 tablespoons of batter into each hole. Place a chocolate ball on top without pressing it into the batter. Spoon 1 tablespoon of batter over the chocolate. Close the lid and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the tops are set. Carefully transfer the pies to a wire rack lined with baking paper. Repeat with the remaining batter and chocolates. Let them cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Prepare the cream cheese icing by blending cream cheese in a small bowl until silky. Slowly mix in the icing sugar until velvety. Incorporate the milk by beating it in.
  • Drizzle icing over doughnuts and let sit for 2 minutes to set. Sprinkle with coconut and serve warm.
