Sausage, cheese, and pepperoni unite in tasty pizza-stuffed mushrooms, a crowd-pleasing party appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 0.5 cup chopped pepperoni
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (16 ounce) package white button mushrooms
  • 0.75 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sliced pepperoni
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), then prepare a baking sheet by lining it with foil.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage, 1/2 cup pepperoni, onion, and garlic until sausage is no longer pink, for about 5 to 6 minutes. Add cream cheese, pizza sauce, and oregano; cook and stir until cream cheese is melted. Mix in Parmesan cheese and remove from heat.
  • Clean the mushrooms by wiping them and discarding the stems. Stuff each mushroom cap generously with a tablespoon of the mixture and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Cook the mushrooms in the preheated oven until they are tender, approximately 15 minutes.
  • Take out of the oven and generously sprinkle mozzarella and the remaining 2 tablespoons of pepperoni over the mushrooms. Place back in the oven until the cheese is perfectly melted, usually around 2 to 4 minutes.
