Pizza-Style Potato Skillet

Stovetop meal with au gratin potatoes, veggies, and pizza flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 package (4.9 ounces) Betty Crocker™ au gratin potatoes
  • 2 1/4 cups hot water
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen Italian green beans
  • 1 can (4 ounces) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
  • 1/3 cup pizza or spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (2 ounces)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté the sausage until fully cooked; then drain any excess fat. Add the potatoes, sauce mix, hot water, and milk, followed by the green beans and mushrooms. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer.
  • Simmer gently for 16-17 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender. Top with melted mozzarella cheese and drizzle with pizza sauce.
  • Sprinkle a delicate amount of Parmesan cheese over the dish. Cover and heat gently for 1 to 3 minutes until the cheese is beautifully melted.
