Plum crumble with rolled oats

Indulge in the perfect balance of sticky fruit filling and crispy crumble topping in this irresistible plum dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 200 g plain flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 175 g unrefined golden caster sugar
  • 100 g oats
  • 400 g kiwi fruits peeled
  • 600 g plums stoned
  • 1-2 pieces jarred stem ginger finely chopped
  • 1 vanilla pod seeds of
  • 1 apple very finely sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC/350ºF/gas 4. Combine flour, butter, and 75g of sugar in a food processor, then transfer the mixture to a bowl. Work the oats into the mixture using your fingers and set aside. In another bowl, mix kiwis, plums, stem ginger, remaining sugar, and vanilla seeds. Transfer the fruit mixture to a large ovenproof dish, top with apple slices, and cover with the crumble topping. Bake for approximately 45 minutes until golden brown. Serve with cream or crème fraîche, if desired.
