Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, cream together 1 cup of white sugar, 1/2 cup of butter, and 1 egg until smooth. Mix in sour cream and vanilla extract. Gradually add 3 cups of flour along with baking soda and baking powder until a sticky dough forms. Spread half of the dough evenly into the baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, 1/2 cup white sugar, and 1 egg until smooth. Spread this creamy mixture over the dough in the baking dish. Then, dollop the remaining dough over the top.
  • Combine pecans, brown sugar, 1/3 cup flour, and 1/3 cup butter in a bowl and mix until it forms a coarse crumble; then sprinkle over the dough.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center, approximately 45 minutes.
