Whip up a delicious Oktoberfest-inspired dinner in no time!
Ingredients:
  • 1 ring (1 lb) fully cooked smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cut into eighths
  • 1 can (14 to 15 oz) sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F. Arrange sausage and apple slices in an 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish, then add a layer of sauerkraut on top. Finally, pour the apple cider into the dish before baking.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the mixture is hot and the apples are fork-tender. Take the dish out of the oven.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients until a soft dough comes together. Spoon 8 dollops of dough onto the sausage mixture.
  • Bake uncovered for 10-12 minutes until the biscuits are cooked through and beautifully golden brown.
