Elevate your kids' party with vibrant popcorn treat.
Ingredients:
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 125.00 ml popping corn
  • 215.00 gm caster sugar
  • Food colourings (Red, blue and yellow )
Instructions:
  • - Prepare 3 large baking trays by lining them with baking paper. - Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. - Drop in 2 kernels of corn. The oil is ready when the corn spins slowly in a circle. - Add the rest of the corn and cover with a well-fitting lid. - Gently shake the saucepan once the corn starts popping. - Remove from heat once the popping stops. - Transfer the popcorn to a large heatproof bowl, and discard any unpopped kernels.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 cup cold water. Stir and cook until sugar dissolves, about 8 minutes. Let it boil without stirring for 5 minutes until thick and syrupy. Stir in 3 to 4 drops of red food coloring, then add one-third of the popcorn. Reduce heat to low and stir for 30 seconds to 1 minute until popcorn is coated and crystallized. Spread popcorn on a prepared tray, separate the pieces, and let cool completely.
  • Continue the steps with the remaining popcorn, sugar, cold water, blue, and yellow food colorings.
  • Combine the popcorn in a large bowl until incorporated. Serve.
