Delicious crispy shrimp appetizer with a golden crust, perfect for sharing with your guests. Enjoy with your preferred dipping sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1.25 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.125 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon onion powder
  • 24 uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
Instructions:
  • Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 350°F (175°C).
  • In one bowl, put the flour. In a separate bowl, mix the egg and milk. In another bowl, blend the bread crumbs, salt, basil, parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Coat shrimp in flour, then dip in egg mixture and press into bread crumbs. Lightly shake off any excess crumbs by gently tossing in your hands. Place breaded shrimp on a plate in a single layer.
  • Fry breaded shrimp in hot oil until they turn a beautiful golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes. Drain shrimp on a paper towel-lined platter.
