Air fryer popcorn shrimp: extra crispy with tails for easy handling. Optional: remove tails.
Ingredients:
  • 12 ounces large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • nonstick cooking spray
Instructions:
  • In a spacious bowl, coat shrimp evenly with flour. In a separate bowl, beat the egg. In a third bowl, combine panko bread crumbs, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat each shrimp in egg after the flour, coat with panko mixture, and arrange on a baking sheet. Allow to sit for 5 minutes as you preheat the air fryer.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place half of the shrimp in the basket and lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  • Cook the shrimp for 4 minutes until they are slightly pink. Flip each shrimp over using tongs and spray any chalky spots with cooking spray. Cook for another 4 minutes until fully cooked. Repeat with the remaining shrimp.
